Looking over the history of tasks that have run on both of my machines, I see many "error while computing" entries. Can I discover the nature of the error so that I might take remedial action, or is this just an unavoidable characteristic of running large projects on my machines? |

The error messages are in Stderr, which is on the page of each model in your account on the server. Backups: Here |

Click on the + sign. Or do you mean: where are the pages of the models? 3 ways of getting there: 1) Click on your name alongside your posts in this thread. 2) Click on the Your account link in the blue menu to the left of here. 3) Click on the Projects tab in the BOINC manager, Once there, click on View alongside Tasks, Select a model from the list. Sorry for the delay in responding, Les. I got into the Stderr files for tasks that failed and compared them to the Stdrr files for tasks that completed without problem. There seems to be no particular error that is common to the failed tasks. When I click on a particular task ID, I get what appears to be a list of computers that were assigned that task. If the task fails on one computer it will be assigned to another. On some of the tasks where my computer failed, there are failures on other machines as well until finally the task completes. I assume this means my failure notices are not all that unusual and I should not be concerned about them. |
